Zagon is able to bring the ground transport right up to the entrance of the dome. The headlights shine past Billow into the passageway, which ends in a smashed doorway. Pieces of the broken plastisteel door litter the floor. Just beyond the door Billow can see a spiral staircase leading upwards.
Faint smashing and banging sounds can be heard coming from somewhere inside the dome. Billow notices that the sounds just began after Zagon moved the ground transport up beside the dome entrance.

I can't discern the specific sounds bit its coming from up the stairs. If LaGrange entered here he may be looking for something.
Billows will shine a flashlight up the stairs trying to pick put the sounds, he dials the pistol up to 3. |

Billow steps over the pieces of the broken door and sees evidence that explosives were used here. Black scorch marks are visible on the plastisteel fragments and what is left of the door frame. He shines his flashlight upwards through the metal framework of the spiral staircase and sees that it leads about 8 meters up to an open space with its own dim lighting. There must be another light source up above somewhere.
The banging and smashing sounds continue. Billow hears something fall to the floor and shatter like the sound of glass or pottery falling on stone. |

Relieved to be safe Chicklet slaps Gizmo on the back and gives the vrusk equivelent of a sigh for his polyvox to translate for everyone else' benefit.
Chicklet, adressing Billow over the chroncom, "Billow? did you get a good look at that thing? I'
d swear is was a Queequig from Volturnus but what's it doing here?"

On his way to join billow cha'kki will see if he can find any more explosives in the escape pod. He will then join billow at his position and hope to be able to sneak into the dome unnoticed. |

Cha'kki finds nothing new in the escape pod, so he then heads back to the dome entrance.
As Billow is deciding what to do next, a small object comes bouncing down through the framework of the spiral staircase. The tiny object must have been hit and propelled with a forceful blow to be thrown all the way to the stairs. Looking closer, Billow can see that the object is a small figurine of some humanoid creature. The figurine is about 2 centimeters high. |

Cha'kki will make contact with Billow and make some detailed plans about how to proceed making sure every possibility is covered. "I go up and kick him, he fall down stairs like figurine. You kick him if he still alive?" asks cha'kki to see if the plan is well received.
Once cha'kki has met up with Billow he will confirm with zagon and the truck crew about their status and plans to move in. "we thinking of making 'contact' soon. Mr Lagrange wrecking place up!" |

| Not hearing any objections cha'kki will turn his chronocom to xmit only and begin sneaking toward the stairs. He will move when it is clear he could not be heard by the room thrashing. He will pick up the small figurine and store it in his pack for later. |

Cha'kki reaches the bottom of the stairs and picks up the small figurine. Before storing it in his pack, he notices that it is the figure of a lizard-like humanoid holding a spear and wearing no clothing.
Billow seems very quiet.

| Chicklet sidles upto Cha'kki as examines the figurine and rubs his antenna (INT check-does he recognize it? He's specifically wondering if its related to voluturnus as well as the previous encounter). |

[Chicklet INT 45, roll 06 success] Chicklet does find the figurine very familiar. It looks exactly like a Volturnian Yernoid. Yernoids are man-sized bipedal dinosaurs which have developed a rudimentary intelligence, similar to an ape's. He recalls that these creatures roamed Volturnus in hunting bands seeking prey. They are territorial; the strongest Yernoid always leads the group.
That was on Volturnus however. Chicklet can only guess who, on this planet, made this tiny Yernoid figurine and why.

| Through a series of antenna bumps and quiet clicks cha'kki will have communicated with Chicklet about the plan to detain Mr lagrange very quickly. Cha'kki will hand chicklet or billow a doze grenade if he doesn't already have one to keep mr Lagrange from escaping out the front door. He will investigate up the stairs and plan to engage Lagrange in melée combat when he gets within his running movement range (using 'move by' skill). |
